AlphaCAM and Internal Tool Paths
Normally, only the half profile of a part is shown on the screen. This is satisfactory when external tool paths are being planned. It is easy to see if a rapid movement of a tool will make it foul the part.
When planning internal turning, boring and threading, it is very easy to set the path for a rapid movement which does foul the part.
The best way of avoid the problem is to select View - Display Options - Show Both Sides - before setting the tool paths. It is immediately obvious if a tool will foul the part.
